John Starks: A New York legend

John Starks was quite a spark plug for the New York Knicks of the '90s. The Knicks drafted Starks in the second round of the 1990 NBA Draft. Starks played in 65 games during his rookie season and averaged 5.2 ppg and 2.3 APG until he fractured his left hand against the Washington Bullets on January 25, 1991. Starks would return to play after missing 42 games. In his second season, Starks averaged 14.9 ppg and 4.3 APG. After three seasons with an increasing role on the Knicks, Starks' fourth would be his best. Starks averaged 17.2 ppg and 6.4 APG (fifth in the league) while starting all 82 games for the Knicks.
